Hooray! Geeks everywhere rejoice for The CW has decided not to follow through with the proposed Grayson's TV show. The series was supposed to follow a young Dick Grayson pre-batman as he does circus stuff or something of that nature. They were going to call him D.J. and it was proposed by Smallville Executive Producers, Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders. According to IGN, the biggest reason that the series never took off is because of Christopher Nolan, the director of "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight". Apparently Nolan wasn't too pleased about this idea and never signed off on it.
Another reason why this probably didn't get green lit is because overall it was a pretty bad idea. Comic book aficionados everywhere realized that a story about Dick Grayson before he meets Batman, is pretty much a useless story.
It's an extremely good thing that this show was stopped before they actually filmed a pilot and disappointed a lot of potential actors.
